The real Wright Whirlwind R-975E-1 is a supercharged engine, producing up to 365 hp at 2100 rpm.both for take –off (full throttle) and continuous flight at sea level. So, I provided the ATO engine with supercharging capability,so it produces (in FSX environment) up to 35 MP/2250 rpm at SL . When taking-off you can use a full throttle (at maximum MP), but not longer then for one minute, or you can damage the engine. To fly continuously at 2100 rpm you must not exeed 30 MP and you need about 30 seconds to reach this rating after changing from climbing to level flight. When flying at full throttle below 4000 ft for more then one minute the engine begins to loose its power and after 5 minutes it can get fired .

Take-off and climb
You need not more then 15 seconds of full throttle to accelerate to 90 knots. After taking-off you can lean to 30 MP/1900-2000 rpm and proceed to climing at 100-105 kts with 2000 ft per min. climb rate

Cruise
You can cruise at maxsimum speed of 145-150 kts at 2000-2100 rpm or use an economical mode of 125-130 at 1750-1900 rpm. Use a full mixture below 5000 ft. With the same power your cruise speed will vary depending on flight level. Using 1900 rpm cruise power you can yield 140 kts IAS at 1000 ft, 130 kts IAS at 5000 ft and 120 kts IAS at 10000 ft.

Approach and landing
At this phase pretend you are a glider pilot. Remember that your plane does not have flaps. At approach try to keep your speed within 80-90 kts limits, not to exeed 80 at final and touch down with a speed less then 60 kts.
